Since April things have continued as before for the Auckland rental market. Properties available to rent went as high as 4,905 over winter and then dropped down to 4,146 today.
Little has changed over the past 6 months. 1 bd property numbers are still high, but have come back from record numbers during winter. 3 bd vacancies are also now quite low at around 1,150 but notyet dropping to price squeeze numbers. Only when the properties available drop below 3,500 overall, do rental prices start to increase strongly. Steady as she goes is the theme until the new year.
