Trademe is the single most effective tool to get good tenants. However Trademe know it and have been raising their fees regularly. When we last updated this page it cost $109 - $329 depending on the rental amount. This is a cost you should budget for with each change of tenancy. Please note that unlike many property managers WeRent does not make any charge for photography and preparing advertising.
In areas where there is good traffic, and if we are able to, we will place a professional For Rent sign on the roadside to attract people looking to re-locate to the neighbourhood (basically if we think it could help).
In some parts of Auckland where there is lower internet usage, the most effective advertising can be the local community newspaper. These communities often get good results from a sign as well, as people tend to talk to each and inform friends and relatives of prospective rentals.
